With the EYE ON THE LABEL! campaign, the DECO reminds us that healthy eating starts with buying healthy food products. Launched on World Food Day, the 3 videos we produced for the Consumer Protection Association, "Eye on the Label", help educate consumers to be well informed when buying packaged food, in order to make the most appropriate food choices.

With the new legislation, it is now compulsory to include a nutritional declaration on labels, showing, for example, the amount of sugar, fat and salt. Excessive consumption of these ingredients has real health consequences and we usually don't remember that we need to add up the amounts we consume throughout the day in the various foods we eat.

But what can we extract from the values we find on the label?

The idea of the campaign is to educate consumers to choose healthier foods. Knowing how to interpret the nutritional information on the labels of packaged products should be the passport to a healthier life.

It's the kind of work that fulfills us, not only because we're working with clients who have concrete ideas of what needs to be conveyed, but also because we have some creative and technical freedom to do a good job.

The design for the DE OLHO NO RÓTULO! campaign had already been finalized by the client and our challenge was to develop the videos while respecting the layout of the campaign, to provide a richer communication experience and to convey the message in a more immediate and effective way.

Reasons for using Motion-Graphics in education/training projects:

  • Most people prefer "seeing" to reading texts;
  • We explain more complex concepts in a simpler and more entertaining way;
  • You can mix different types of languages, real images, graphics, animation, video clips;
  • ... and are much easier to remember.
