Every year, the FCTFoundation for Science and Technology organizes the Science Meetingwhich brings together the national scientific community to share knowledge and promote innovation.
For the design of the website, we were inspired by the graphic identity already created by the University of Portoand resorted to the use of white spaces, animations and geometric shapes.
The result is a clear, modern and intuitive approach that facilitates navigation, reinforces the institutional communication of the Science Meeting and directs participants to the event management platform.
Once again, we promote our maxim that each platform should ensure what it does best.
There is no justification for giving websites advanced functionalities that are better handled by other dedicated platforms.
The website was dedicated solely to communicating the meeting, ensuring a fluid and integrated experience for all participants.
To manage the event area, we used an independent platform, the Beamianwhich includes all the functionalities needed to manage participants.
In terms of development, we followed the Low to No Code approach, using a clean and minimal base, which didn't limit the web design options, and we used WordPress' native content management.
